1. What is the Rainbow Stash Challenge?
The Rainbow Stash Challenge is a monthly textile art quilt challenge where we explore colour and creativity. Each month, participants receive a hero colour and a textile technique prompt to inspire a 10" art quilt. It's a fun, flexible challenge open to all skill levels!

 

2. Do I need to have been part of your previous subscriptions to join?
Not at all! While we’re carrying on the creativity from our Rainbow Stash Builder and Rainbow Stash Buster subscriptions, new members are always welcome. This challenge is perfect for anyone looking to explore textile art and push their creativity further.

3. What do I need to participate?
All you need is fabric, thread, and your creativity! You can use what’s in your existing stash or purchase new materials to match the monthly hero colour. There’s no pressure to use specific products—this challenge is about freedom and exploration.

4. How does the monthly challenge work?

• At the start of each month, we’ll draw the hero colour live during a Zoom meeting with our community.
• You’ll also receive a textile technique prompt or theme to spark your imagination.
• Using the colour and theme, you’ll create a 10" textile art quilt to share with the community.

5. When are the Zoom meetings?
The live Zoom meetings take place on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 5pm Brisbane, QLD time. Don’t worry if you can’t attend live—details will be emailed to you afterward!

6. Is this challenge suitable for beginners?
Absolutely! The Rainbow Stash Challenge is designed for all skill levels. Whether you’re just starting your textile art journey or you’re an experienced quilter, the monthly prompts encourage you to explore, experiment, and learn at your own pace.

7. What if I can’t attend the live Zoom meeting?
No problem! The hero colour and prompt will be sent to you via email shortly after the live session, so you won’t miss out.

8. Do I need to complete every month’s challenge?
Not at all! While we encourage everyone to participate monthly to build momentum, this challenge is flexible. Join in when you can—there’s no pressure to create every month.

9. What happens if I get stuck or need inspiration?
You’ll have access to our supportive community of makers where you can share progress, ask for feedback, and be inspired by others’ creations. Plus, our monthly Zoom calls are a great place to connect and ask questions.

10. How do I share my finished quilt each month?
You’ll have the option to share your finished work:

• In our private online community (if applicable).
• On social media using our dedicated challenge hashtag (e.g., #RainbowStashChallenge2025).
• During our community Zoom sessions.

11. How do I sign up, and is there a commitment?
You can sign up anytime through our website! This is a monthly subscription, so you can cancel at any time. If you commit to the full 12 months upfront, you’ll receive a special discount.
